If you wish to stop the AI from generating more prose, you can:
If you want to keep the prose: click stop mid-generation, or apply if it has finished generating prose.
If you do not want to keep the prose: click discard.
Please be aware that pressing retry will overwrite any previously generated text.
FAQ
Will I still get charged if I stop the prose generation?
This is model dependent. In most cases, you will still be charged for input tokens (as they have already been used), and the output tokens already written, but not for any tokens that would have been generated after the apply/discard. You will need to check yourself for the model that you are using.
Can I recover generated text if I pressed retry or discard?
Currently it is not possible to recover generated text if you have overwritten it by pressing retry or discard. If you want to kit-bash, or use multiple generations, we recommend you press apply, and then save generations into a snippet, or further down in your document.
It is good practice to hit apply once the prose has finished generating, as there is no difference in cost between pressing retry, or simply regenerating the prose.
